The ‘Carimate’ chair is one of Vico Magistretti’s most famous chairs. Originally designed in a red color for the ‘Carimate Golf Club’ in Italy (1960), a place that Magistretti himself designed. Due to the architectural, open frame the ‘Carimate’ chair has a strong expression. The angular frame has two curved armrests that add a dynamic appeal. Where the frame meets the seat, Magistretti added a distinct detail to the frame which gets a little wider at this point.
