Rare Nikolay Diulgheroff Italian Mid-Century Modern Sideboard in Walnut

At first glance, this sideboard seems entirely at home in the elegant world of Italian interiors of the 1940s. The warm glow of the wood, the restrained proportions and the rhythmic grid of raised panels characterize the piece. By the time this cabinet was designed, around 1945, the most radical phase of Futurism lay behind him. A comparable example is known to have formed part of Diulgheroff’s own collection, suggesting that it was cherished within the family.
