Professionally Restored Peter Løvig Nielsen Flip Top Partners Desk in Walnut

$5,400

Designed in the early 1960s by Peter Løvig Nielsen, this desk was produced under his own label, Løvig Design. While most models are teak, a scant few were made in walnut, which really sets this example apart. Compared to teak, walnut plays better with the polished brass hardware, and can exude a more sophisticated look in many settings. Other than the material, this desk has all the hallmarks of a great design: solid wood architectural legs, super deep and smooth drawers, high-end hardware and locks, and a usability-first perspective. The flip-top deck converts this desk from a single-user experience to a desk for two, a large work surface, or a small conference table. Notice the pair of removable drawers, the flush polished brass hadware, and the intelligently placed dividers.
