Mid-20th Century, Pair of Lounge Chairs by Henning Kjærnulf, Oak & Wool, 1960s

$7,800

A beautiful pair of Danish lounge chairs by Henning Kjærnulf, crafted in solid oak and dating from the 1960s. The solid oak frames feature beautifully carved aprons, turned legs, decorative circular details and substantial armrests, creating a distinctive architectural expression with clear references to traditional Nordic furniture. The chairs are upholstered in wool in a warm, natural tone, contrasted by a decorative striped wool textile in earthy shades of brown and ochre running through the center of the seat and backrest. Brass nailhead detailing along the upholstered armrests adds a refined finishing touch. This fine pair of lounge chairs will complement many interior styles.
