Fairy Tale style gilt wrought iron wall lights by Ferro Art, Spain, 1940s

$6,164.78

Mid-Century and Tudor Revival style wrought iron wall lights by Ferro Art (also known as Ferroarte), Spain, 1940s. Composed of a wrought iron structure with hand-crafted and welded iron branches, flowers and leaves in a totally Fairy Tale vibe, with gold leaf finish. In the center of eah sconce there is an iron medalion with a hand-painted oil still life of flowers in green, blue, yellow, red and pink tones. Very stylish and glamorous, with an absolute Bridgerton and Gilded Age vibe. This set of sconces is very much in the style of the most iconic German designs from Hans Kögl for Maison Jansen, using always iron and brass as his main materials, and using metalwork techniques such as welded, hammered and melted, and other ones such as gilt and polished, and always hand-crafted and handmade. Very much in the style also Ferrocolor’s Spanish lamps designs, of Willy Daro's Belgium creations for Massive Lighting, and of other French brands like Maison Charles, Maison Roche, Maison Banci, Maison Le Dauphin and Maison Honoré. Very similar to the Florentine style Italian wall lights. For two E27 light bulbs each piece (compatible with American E26 bulbs). Electrical installation renewed and fully operational, with new lamp holders.
