In the early 1960s, MIM Roma saw a rise in the production of office furniture, particularly desks and chairs, which were developed in multiple variations to meet diverse workplace needs, forming cohesive collections. These chairs exemplify that era’s design approach. The structure is built on a sleek five-star base, with legs extending outward and subtly tapering downward, each fitted with small feet for added stability. A central column supports the seat, enabling smooth swiveling, while a side lever allows for height adjustment. The seat and backrest are upholstered in button-tufted black leather, framed by elegantly curved plywood, seamlessly blending craftsmanship with functionality. When the first showroom opened, the display was designed by Ico Parisi who worked for the manufacturer until 1960.
