For your consideration, the iconic Eames Executive Chair, also widely known as the Time-Life Lobby Chair. It was designed in 1960 by the famous husband-and-wife design team, Charles and Ray Eames. The designers originally created this plush chair for the executive lobbies of the Time-Life Building in New York City. They wanted to blend the ultimate comfort of their famous Eames Lounge Chair with a smaller footprint. This allowed the new design to fit perfectly behind an office desk or inside a conference room. The chair gained massive popularity after chess grandmaster Bobby Fischer insisted on sitting in one during his legendary 1972 World Chess Championship match. Aluminum frame in original red fabric upholstery.
