Carlo de Carli for Sormani, pair of 'PIPA' lounge chairs, wood, metal and leather, Italy, circa 1963. A pair of 'PIPA' lounge chairs, designed by the Italian Carlo de Carli in circa 1963. He designed this model as a homage to his Professor Gio Ponti. The armchair consists of a black leather seat and backrest. The curved armrests are made of wood and the top are upholstered with black leather. The black coated legs are slim and form a striking combination with the large seat.
