1980s Staff Leuchten German Wall or Ceiling Lamp with Custom Frame

Staff Leuchten produced this wall and ceiling fixture in Germany during the 1980s. The lamp features a cylindrical perforated metal shade finished in white enamel, originally designed to inset flush into a wall or ceiling surface. The custom-built square wood frame houses the shade and provides an opening to the electrical component, converting it for surface wall mounting or the addition of a plug. The perforated cylinder creates a graphic, diffused light effect when illuminated. Staff Leuchten was a prominent post-war West German lighting manufacturer known for functional, architecturally considered fixtures. Their 1980s output leaned into geometric forms and graphic surface treatments, reflecting broader European design trends of the period.
