1 of 2 Space Age Cocoon pendant lamp in the style of Castiglioni, Italy, 1970s
$2,845.28Space Age pendant lamp in the style of Friedel Wauer’s German designs for Goldkant Leuchten, and of the Castiglioni’s creations, Italy, 1970s. Brutalist and Scandinavian vibe with a pine wood structure combined with cloud-shaped lampshade made of a white lacquered metal structure covered with Cocoon resin. Very much in the style of Estiluz’s Spanish designs, which used the Cocoon resin in some of its iconic lighting fixtures during the 60s and 70s. Very much in the style also of the “Taraxacum” pendant lamp designed by Castiglioni, which became very popular in all of the interiors of those decades, and still today is a very coveted object, and of George Nelson and Isamu Noguchi’s creations, who used this material as the main element in many of their designs. Very much in the style also of Tobia Scarpa’s iconic “Nuvola” pendant lamp for Flos.
